What does the ServiceCall Housecall Pro integration do?
Last updated:
The ServiceCall Housecall Pro integration runs a Max Qualifier property report on every Housecall Pro job as booked — permit history, HVAC, roof and water-heater age, hail history, ownership tenure — and delivers the Gold, Silver or Bronze result as a note and PDF on the job, plus customer tags. Techs and CSRs see the house before the call; nothing is re-keyed.
What shows up in Housecall Pro
We check Housecall Pro for new and updated jobs every 60 seconds, and sweep customers every two hours, so the note and PDF are on the job within about a minute of booking.
- On the job, always: a one-line note ("ServiceCall Insights: MQ Gold | Income: High | Credit: Excellent | Max Qualifier Report: …") and the full report PDF attached.
- On the customer: tags for the Gold / Silver / Bronze band, income level and credit level, plus the same summary line at the top of Notes. Housecall Pro is the only CRM where income and credit appear as tags.
- Scheduled, in-progress and completed jobs are all included.
- A repeat visit to the same property within 30 days reuses the report: the note, PDF and tags are replayed onto the new job at no charge.
How to connect Housecall Pro
- Confirm you are on the Housecall Pro MAX plan, which is what unlocks API keys.
- Generate an API key in Housecall Pro (My Apps → All apps → API Key Management) and paste it into ServiceCall. "Test Connection" reports your customer count on success.
- Set the record-type toggles (Jobs, Customers) and decide now whether to back-fill 30 or 90 days of past jobs; on Housecall Pro the back-fill can only be set during onboarding.
Two rules hold on every CRM: one credit per enriched job, never twice for the same property in a billing period, and a failed address match costs nothing. Disconnecting leaves everything already written in your CRM in place.
Who it's for
HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops on Housecall Pro MAX that want the report, the PDF and the tags landing automatically with nothing to click.
What you control: Per record type: Jobs and Customers can each be switched on or off. Turning Customers off keeps the band, income and credit tags off customer records; the note and PDF on the job are always written.
Whatever your CRM does with the write-back, every scored job also appears on the CRM Browse page of your ServiceCall portal: one list, every job, with its band and report link.
Frequently asked questions
Does it write back to Housecall Pro?
Yes. A summary note and the PDF on the job, and band, income and credit tags plus the summary line on the customer record.
Which Housecall Pro plan do I need?
The Housecall Pro MAX plan. API keys are only available on MAX, and that is what the integration uses to read jobs and write notes, PDFs and tags.
Can I limit who sees the reports?
Partly. Switch Customers off and nothing lands on customer records, so income and credit stop appearing as tags. The note and PDF on the job are always written; your Housecall Pro roles decide who opens the job.
